home page override

Is there a means to fix the problem where a website continues to override the home page
I have gone in the Tools/Internet Options/ and clicked on the Use current button
Immediately thereafter the home page that I have chosen has been overridden by another home page

Any guidance would be helpful
Is this overriding home page buried somewhere in a registry?

Your browser has been hijacked with Spyware.

Spybot - http://www.safer-networking.org
Ad-aware - www.lavasoftusa.com
It is recommended every computer have both programs (or
alternatives) on top of your Anti-Virus Program
Make sure they are always updated and run them regularly,
especially after you have downloaded a program or your
computer/browser begins acting different/strange.

Windows Updates - Update Windows regularly (at the very
least once a month) - ALWAYS download Critical Updates.
You can set your computer for automatic updates if you
prefer.

Firewall-Keep intruders out
Zone Alarm
http://www.uant.net/firewall/zonealarmguide.html

Ofcourse, everyone should have an Anti-Virus program. Run
it all the time at bootup, check for the latest updates
frequently, or set it for automatic updating. Go to your
AV's website for more info.

.
Try Ad-Aware 6.0 and CW Shredder (free downloads) to
eliminate the rogue software. Also you will nedd to clean-
up your registry (regedit). See MSN support for
assistance with this one.

There are more than 200 comments regarding this problem on
this users group site yet not one response from Microsoft.

Shame on them.

Change your browser to anything OTHER than Microsoft and
the problem will go away.

Obviously they do not care
