HELP...Setting for Home page on explorer 6.0 keeps getting undone

I am not as inept as this question may appear, but since
yesterday, I have been unable to keep my home page on
explorer 6.0 set to the page I want. Another website
(res://mshp.dll/index.html#22776) which appears to be a
search engine continues to become my default. I have gone
repeatedly to my internet options and reset it, but it
continues to override my request when I go back to my
browser. The "res://" prompt is new to me.

I suspect that this is a bogus site, but how do I
eliminate it?

This is caused by parasites. First priority: Download
CWShredder and run it.
