Home Folder

Just playing around with XP Pro and have assigned a home folder path under
Local Users and Groups in computer managment. I fully understand the user
profile path but i would really like to know what a home folder is?

A folder which only that user and an administrator has access to.

Flammer thank you for taking the time to reply to my posting. I'm still
baffled as to why a home folder still existing when the user has access to
"My Documents"

So their documents are separated from other users documents, it becomes
more apparent when you login as administrator and you can see the
different users folders.

A user's Home Folder and My Docments folder are not mutually exclusive:
