try clearing your cache and temp internet files.

Also, check Add/Remove programs and make sure there is nothing funny
installed on your system.

What spyware app you using? AdWare, Spybot Search and Destroy,
SpywareBlaster and The Cleaner (all of them) should detect most of what you
might have.

Steve;
Yep. I've heard of it. You've been hijacked. iedll.exe
Its a BHO ("browser helper object"), affecting Internet Explorer, that tries to
write to the registry "..looks like a fragmented version of SearchBar.."

Thanks for your advice, I have downloaded and run
adaware, spyblaster and spy bot without success. Will
continue to search net. If i do a reinstall will that
get rid of the problem? Only had my laptop for about 2
months so not that big a drama. What is Hole anyway?
thanks for your interest in my problem!!

Thanks Wes, the error message has stopped appearing at
start up after I followed Darn-it's RegEdit
instructions. I have also learnt something new today!
Cheers. I have exported then deleted the registry keys
that I was advised to, is that all I need to do. Do i
keep the exported files I saved? Will anything else in
Windows XP be effected by deleting these keys?
Thanks again for taking an interest in my dilema!
Good luck to ya'

Steve;
You bet. I'm no Registry expert, but if the Registry export contains keys
related to Hole, I wouldn't save that unless you want Hole back. If everything
works I wouldn't worry.

Check these two programs out.
ERUNT - The Emergency Recovery Utility NT
Registry Backup and Restore for Windows NT/2000/XP
NTREGOPT

Steve;
Keep having fun. ;o) I use 'em both. Better'n sliced bread. Actually,
ERUNT has saved my butt a couple of times already. In my opinion, better than
System Restore.
