High Density Memory

Hi All,

I'm having a problem with some memory I've recently installed on my XP
system. I thought I had purchased a 1gb stick of memory, but it is
showing up in Windows as 512mb.

I have been told that it's possible that it's high density memory and
my motherboard doesn't support it, and that showing half capacity is a
symptom of this. Is this really the case?

I am running a Shuttle SNG45 with an Nforce2 motherboard.

I'd be very grateful for any assistance.

Probably. Use Crucial's "Memory Advisor" at www.crucial.com
to find memory modules that are compatible with your motherboard.
