Hiding Users Desktop after log on

Pls is there a way for me to hid users desktop and lunching a particular programme immediately after logging on. Thus i want only a particular program to run after a user logs on and disabling access to the desktop and everything :confused:

When your unit is not configured under a domain scenario, this could get tricky. Also, it relies heavily on passwords.

Is this a single machine or a network?
