hiding place holders

I'm half way there. I was educated on how to hide place holders with embedded
pictures. But now I find that when I reopen Outlook, it defaults to Display
Place Holders. That never used to be an issue. How do I get the default to be
to uncheck that option? I run Vista/ Outlook 2007.

That didn't do it for me. I tried it inside the message, outside the message,
without message....

Is that was the place holder looks like? If so, then Alt+F9 will toggle them
off and on - you do need open the message and have the cursor in the message
body. If it's something else, I need a better description of what you are
doing.
