Hide Explorer Menu bar

M

Michael Tissington

In Windows Explorer I have the Menu bar showing.

How do I hide the menu bar ?

I have tried clicking on Organize/Layout and making sure that Menu Bar is
not checked but that does not seem to make any difference.

Any ideas please ?

Running RTM from MSDN

I've switched it on, but nothing I seem to do will make the menu bar go away

Hi Michael,

The setting works fine here. Try closing all the explorer windows, and
access the Folder Options applet (Type "control folders" in Start/Run). In
the View tab, uncheck "Always show menus". Click OK.

We need good MVP's here. Quit slumming in XP and come over where the action
is going to be hot and heavy for months to come. :)

OK, clicking on restore defaults did the trick.

My favorite challenging quote from this ng so far:

"How can I uninstall Vista? I can't find it in my Add/Remove Programs."
