Here is an easy way to line two windows up side by side:
1. Minimize all windows that you have open by pressing
this key combination:
[Windows Key] + M
The windows key is the key with the Winows flag on it. It
should be located between the CTRL and ALT buttons.
2. Maximize or Restore the two windows that you want to
place side by side, by clicking on their place holders in
the task bar. (In other words bring the two windows in
question to view)
3. Right click the task bar.
4. Select "Tile Windows Vertically"
Your two windows will now be side by side on your screen.
