Help with video playback

E

Ethan

I need help! Whenever I playback video using Quicktime,
Realplayer, or WMP, I see "blue residue" or shading
corresponding to outlines of objects and people in the
movies. It's almost as is the resolution is impaired, but
most normal non-video images are ok, except high
resolution photos. I have no flicker. Never had this
problem before. System: Dell Inspiron with ATI Mobility
video card.

I think your display adapter has problems with DirectX. You can check this
by typing dxdiag in the 'run' box in the start menu and disabling direct
draw on the display page. Video performance will be severely affected but
you should see clear video. If this is the case, get the latest drivers for
your display adapter and reinstall directx.
Hope this helps.
