Does anyone have a LJ 1220 driver disk that can be downloaded please?

I have lost mine and I can't get the scanner to function without it. 8-(
It is not available for download at HP for some reason. 8-(

Thanks.

Sure it is...
http://www.hp.com
Click on: Software & Driver downloads
Select radiobutton 'Download drivers and software (and firmware)'
Fill out the 'for product' bar: LaserJet 1200
Click on the '>>' right next to the filled out bar.
Select the exact model you want (1220 or 1220SE)
Select your language, and select your operating system.

Done...

Cheers,

E.

If only that were true..

you can download the printer driver but not the scanner support (you don't
need too either as XP works without it).
You have to buy a CD at ~£30 ($60) to get the twain driver so the scanner
works..

Any chance that inside the various print-drivers & software
the scanning stuff is tucked away as well?

'it' would mean just the printer?

Did you try to install the ''hp laserjet 1220 software update'?
There are some references to scan-functions enhancements.
Maybe having the print-software installed already is enough to
trigger an 'update' of the scan-drivers as well...

Hmm... I suppose a downloaded version of HP PrecisionScan + drivers
(for a scanner with a sheetfeeder option, like the HP 7450) would not do
the trick then either...

Maybe one of the other readers can help you further.

Regards,

E.

Yes the printer bit works fine.

Tried all that and no the software is on the CD and nowhere else.

I hope so or its going to be another piece of working technology going in
the scrap.

They have an order link to buy the CD.
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsuppor...iesId=295945&swLang=8&taskId=135&swEnvOID=228

If the above link breaks:
Start here Type LJ1220 and tick download drivers and software.
http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

When you get the results page, click the LaserJet 1220 All-in-one (not the
SE).
select Windows XP will take you to the above page.

Thanks. I know but is it really worth £30 for a CD?
That is more than half of what the 1220 cost me when new.

Only you know if you want to pay that much money.

I would rather spend it on updating the scanner.
However I don't see why HP make the printer drivers available free but not
the scanner.
Just imagine what would be said if it was £30 for the printer driver.

Anyway I may be able to get it to work using Linux and openoffice, then I
may be able to give it away rather than scrap it.
