I have received this error ever since I reformatted and reinstalled XP. I
did not have this error this first time I installed, but each time after
that. It seems that it has something to do with XP not being able to log in
properly.
The error is as follows: NTEvent Log Consumer: could not retrieve SID
0x80041002
Failed to log event 6B5 in namespace //./root/subscription
It seems to have something to do with the task manager or scheduler.
Sometimes I will have a square black space on the taskbar which goes away if
I start the task manager.
Would using a different name when XP Professional is installed possibly fix
the problem? It seems that trying to use the same name, even after
reformatting is somehow causing problems?
