HELP!! Windows won't shut down

Windows hangs on shuuting down screen and won't shut
down. Also I get a pop up saying ending RUNDLL32.EXE.

What's happening?

Hi David,
it indicates that some program is not ending properly.Try to shutdown
running applications and processes by hitting [ctrl]+[shift]+[escape]
keys and using task manager.This will help you to detect the application
/program which is causing the problem.
Also scan your system with latest antivirus/spybot search and
destroy/adawares

Windows hangs on shuuting down screen and won't shut

Rundll32 has been set going to run some DLL file, which is hanging at
shutdown. It sounds suspiciously like an item of spyware/Adware - read
up on that at www,aumha.org/a/parasite.htm and use the tools suggested
to see. Then Start - Run - MSconfig.exe and see if there is a line on
the Startup page using RunDLL32 to run a file - uncheck it, exit and
reboot and see what effects there are
