HELP!! Windows Won't Shut Down

Whwn I go to shut down 2 things happen:

1. I get a pop up window saying RUNDLL32.EXE not
responding and then it closes the program

2. Get to the Windows Shutting Down Screen and it stalls.
Only way to shut down is to remove power supply.

Any ideas?
