Help!! -- Windows Mail stuck in automatic continual re-starting lo

Windows Mail automatically starts when I start the computer, and enters an
endless re-starting loop, disrupting all the other programs that I try to
use. I doesn't show up in the "Startup Programs" on Windows Defender, so I
can't disable it. I uninstalled Windows Mail a couple of times, and it keeps
coming back on its own. It seems to be acting like some kind of virus. How
do I get Windows Mail to stop doing this?

It seems that Windows Mail could be corrupt, as for continual start up, is
there a shortcut listed in Start -> All Programs -> Startup?

If so, delete it, then go on to reinstall windows mail using the old
Add/Remove Windows Components.

Looks like this is working. Windows May wasn't in Start -> All Programs ->
Startup, but there was a program called DataViz Messenger. It had an icon
that appeared to related it to my Palm device's "Documents to Go" software.
I deleted it from that location, then uninstalled Windows Mail, and so far so
good. We'll see if Windows Mail comes back. Meanwhile, I haven't
re-installed Windows Mail because I have no use for it at this time. Also, I
don't know how to re-install it. Do I have to re-install it from one of the
disks that came with my computer, or can I download it, or is it perhaps
stored in Vista somewhere?

Thanks!

It is not possible to uninstall or reinstall Windows Mail by itself since
it is an integral part of Vista. If its shortcuts are missing:
Navigate to C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\ and open that folder, then right-click
on WinMail.exe. Select "Pin to Start Menu" and/or "Add to Quick Launch".
