Windows can not start because pci.sys file is missing or corrupted
Attemping to copy 62kb file I put on floppy from other machine to C:\Windows\system32\Driver
but get "Access is denied" message. Is there a parameter to add to get by that
Any more info on using recovery console than in Windows help
correct format is: copy a:\pci.sys C:\Windows\System32\Drivers right
Any other way to overwite that file? boot to DOS?

First, you need to rename the old file (corrupted or not) to
rename c:\windows\system32\driver\pci.sys c:\windows\system32\driver\pci.old

Then type in
copy a:\pci.sys c:\windows\system32\driver\pci.sys
