help system boot failure

can somebody please help, i dont know what ive done to my computer! it has
been running fine since i purchased it about 12mths ago untill this week now
every time i turn it on or re start it i get a message (system boot failure
please press entre to continue) this is on the page with all the black and
white writing if that helps! you can probably guess im no pc genious LOL. i
have been pressing enter and its continued to load up ok but its driving me
mad and im worried something is wrong. It always used to start up fine and go
strait to windows xp. Any help or advice will be very greatfully recieved x

Hi

On that page is there a 'Last Known Good Configuration' option? If so, and
you are able to access it, try that to see if you can boot into Windows
normally.
