help please windows restore

im trying to restore my computer back to the day i got it i down loaded the
floppy disks from microsoft followed each step but it is now saying the
following value in the .SIF file used by setup is corrupt or missing and it
also says Value 0 on the line in section [sourcedisksfiles]with key
"sp2.cab."set up cannot continue.to quit press f3 when i press f3 the
computer restarts them it says verifying dmi pool data ......... ntldr is
missing press ctrl+alt+del to restart when i do that it apears again i dont
know what ive done please help someone kind regards donna xx

i bought a computer it wasnt fast so i paid a friend to make to faster i
gave
him all the disks i got with the pc but never got them back he said they
wouldnt work anymore.i have no recovery disks and ive been have alot of
problems i have no windows disk.ive tried windows restore point.how do i get
the pc back to the day i got it back from my friend and is there anyway i
can make a disk for the future incase this happens again.

In view of this and several other posts you made during the last
seven days I recommend you do a clean start:
- Set your BIOS to make the CD drive its primary boot device.
- Boot the machine with your WinXP Cd.
- Allow the hard disk to be formatted. You will, of course, lose
all data currently on the disk.
- Procedd with a full Windows installation.
- Do not listen to "friends" who offer to make your PC go faster.
