And what does this show you ?

http://www.asus.com.tw/support/cpusupport/cpusupport.aspx

It shows Palomino Model 6 only works if using a "1.05." board.
I interpret that to mean, the "1.05." board is equipped with
the L-C-L filter network which is needed by the PLL in the
processor. Without that filter, some processors may work and
some may not. The filter network is needed by later processors,
and the requirement was not met until 1.05. .

Model 8
CPU ID 0681 1800 (2200+) OPGA 133 256 13.5x 1.60V 85oC 57.0W
CPU ID 0680 1800 (2200+) OPGA 133 256 13.5x 1.65V 85oC 61.7W

I take it you have the frequency set to 133Mhz ?
Is the voltage set properly for your processor ?
Are you trying jumper mode or jumperfree ?
(If it was my board, I would try the jumper mode.)

Due to the way that power planes are laid out underneath large
chips, it is virtually impossible to retrofit a filter network
for a PLL. So, I hope the processor just works, with the noise
level on VCCA pins as it stands now. For boards before 1.05.
it is not guaranteed to work.

See the section "Will a AthlonXP run in a A7V / A7V133 /A7V266
etc. that does not officially support it?" on this page:

You might also search http://forum.a7vtroubleshooting.com .
Set the "max age" to a number much larger than the default
7 days. I use 1000 days, to search close to three years of postings.
