Help !! Performance Tip

Tom Newton

Hi Folks

I've seen a number of XP performance tips that talk about tweaking windows'
"I/O Page Lock
Limit" Since my macine's physical ram is 256mb, a lock limit of 250 is
ideal.

One major problem though - i cant find the registry key!

This is the correct path to the key...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\ CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory
Management

But unfortunately there's no such key at that location for me.

Any help would be appreciated

The best way I can help you is to tell you to avoid rediculous advice like
what you saw about "I/O Page Lock." Leave your registry alone and gain the
best performance from your computer by properly maintaining it.
