Help! Outlook 2003 won't allow Zip attachments?

Sean

Office 2003 suite, WinXPPro SP1

When I use the 'paperclip' icon to attach a file, it
brings up the browse window, which does NOT show me any
Zip files.

I can drag the Zips in and drop them without issue, and
the system appears to have no problems sending them, but I
can't browse for them.

I've scoured the web looking for a solution to this, and
everything I've found (such as regedit instructions) do
not appear to be valid on this machine...none of the cited
reg. keys exist, etc.

Help! The user this is affecting sends out more than 50
Zips a day, so she's been hit hard by this...

I'm certain this is an Office/Outlook 2003 issue, as the
problem didn't exist until yesterday, when we upgraded her
office setup to 2003 from 2002.

Any and all suggestions are welcome and encouraged.

Thank you.

What are you using for creating zip-files? The built-in tool of Windows XP?

Unregister the built-in tool and see if everything is displayed correctly
now. You may need to reboot.

Start > Run; regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll
