Help mshtml.dll error

I am having a problem whenever I simply click on a .html
file Windows explorer closes
with the message:

Windows Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close.

Log report
Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2600.0,
faulting module mshtml.dll, version 6.0.2600.0, fault
address 0x001a23a3

Please help soon

This can be corrected by performing a System File Check.
Go to Start > Run and type: CMD , and hit enter. In the
resulting Command Prompt window type: SFC /SCANNOW
and hit enter. Have your Windows XP CD handy as you'll
be prompted to insert it in the CD Drive.
