HELP-Monitor turned BLUE

HI,
I changed hard drive on my compaq pc (PIII) successfully and installed
the os. After putting HD for the first time, when i booted the machine,
the monitor was blue. i installed os but now the screen has grayed out
and i cannot see anything. I checked the monitor with other pc, it is
fine.
please help me to know the cause and solution.

Any BIOS beeps to give us a clue? Graphics card seated correctly?

thanks for the response Cari. No BIOS does not beep. the graphic card
is in-built with the mother board. I am not sure if the problem is with
the graphic card or mother board.
