HELP! Messages Stuck In OUtbox

I can create new messages or reply to received ones and SOME, not all
messages will not send and stay in the outbox. Sometimes I notice this more
when replying to meessages and other times it is when trying to send new
messages. It also does not seem ot matter what format the messages are in (
text, HTML...) or whether I use a signature or not.

1. I have verified all SMTP settings - Good
2. I am not working in Offline mode.
3. I am not attached to Exchange Server.
4. This happens whether or not I have automatic send/receive set.
5. Most messages that are in the outbox DO NOT show up in bolded italics.
6. I do not open or edit messages before sending them.

This is EXTREAMLY frustrating and would greatly appreciate any help I can
get on this.
