Help Me Stop Sending Spam

B

My server based Verizon email appears to be sending out spam meessages
automatically. I keep getting hundreds of "Mailer Daemon - Delievery
Failure" notices for emails I did not send. I tried to get help for this
problem from Verizon's tech suppert, but the problem continues. There must
be some program that was downloaded onto my computer that is doing this
without my knowledge or permission. Could someone plese tell me how to find
this program and delete it?

It may not be your computer.
If you have an up-to-date antivirus and antispyware program running, the problem is most likely that some other spammer is using your return address for his spam. When this mail bounces, you get the notice.
Not much you can do, except get a new email address and drop the old one, or just wait it out. These messages will eventually stop.

Are the messages in your sent items folder?

If not, then you are the victim of a spambot that is using your email
address, it will die off soon.

Nothing at all that you can do about it, short of closing the account.

Did you run a full scan of your system for any kind of infection?
