okay i need help!!!!!
i am tryin to download a font and i did a stupid thing u know that
little box at the bottem of a download this that says ummm..... 'open
this folder straight away' or some thin it opens it before i can
download it. how do i untick it please help
me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure I fully understand (and wow, that's a lot of exclamation marks),
but if you mean, you are no longer seeing the "Download complete" box after
downloading a file from the Internet, go to

Tools | Internet Options | Advanced
Find & tickthe box that says "Notify when downloads complete"

This is IE6 - if you're using another browser, try posting in a group for
that browser.

Are you meaning the option to close the download progress window once download completes? If so, In Internet Explorer click on Tools, select Internet Options, then the Advanced tab. Scroll down to the Browsing section and add a checkmark to "Notify when downloads complete".

= Open windows Explorer click Tools >> Folder Options >> File Type and scroll
to whichever file type (ZIP, XL, HTML, Doc..etc...) and Highlight it then
click on Advanced Button.
The check the Box for [ ] 'confirm open after download'.

= Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Click Advanced Tab and scroll down under Browsing Option,
that this check box is checked:
[ ] Prompt when download is complete.

Then click Security Tab and then on Custom Button:
Level/Downloads-Automatic Prompting for File Downloads to Enabled

= Open a Run Command and type in:
regedit.exe click [OK]
Locate these Keys:
[-]HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\
Restrictions
Value Name: "AlwaysPromptWhenDownload"
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Value Data: [0 = to disable restriction, 1 = to enable restriction]

[-]HKEY_Current_User\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\
Restrictions
Value Name: "AlwaysPromptWhenDownload"
Data Type: REG_DWORD
Value Data: [0 = to disable restriction, 1 = to enable restriction]
After finishing editing the Registry close and Reboot then try the download.
