HELP: internet connection stop working

R

Rotem Sagi

I have this problem where I got 2 IBM laptops each has its own wireless
connection to connect to the internet.
In order to transfer big file between them I use a crossed LAN cable to
connect them directly to each other.
At that point when I try to access the internet on one of the laptops it
looks like it tries to connect through the LAN (connected directly to the
other IBM) and not through the wireless connection.

is there a way to set the OS or the browser to use the wireless connection
and not the LAN?
can any one please help me...

tnx ROTZ

Assign IP addresses in different subnets to the wired and wireless
network connections. For example, if the wireless connections use
192.168.1.x, assign 192.168.0.x to the wired connections.

Don't specify a default gateway address for the wired connections.

To make sure that a file transfer uses the wired connections, refer to
the other computer using its wired IP address, not its computer name.
For example, click Start > Run and type:

\\192.168.0.100
