I have a laptop with wireless which I conigure for a connection at home and
it workd fine, when I bring the laptop to work and connect it to the LAN
there is no internet unless I disable the wireless connection (there's a
wireless at work but has different configuration than my wireless config at
home, so it doesn't work unless I change the configuration). can I have
internet connection from the LAN without disabling the wirless connection?

thanks

When you power down your laptop at home, bring it to the office, connect it
via Ethernet, and boot up, does it not connect and get an IP address?
Are you using any third-party network/wireless management tools (such as IBM
Access Connections)?
