HELP! I think my DVD-RW dirve is broken...

I've been trying to burn discs on iTunes and after the 'initiallizing'
process the burning fails and i get the message:

The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error occurred (4280).

I've been burning them fine up to yesterday, I tried using cheapy Mr.Data
CDs and really good Memorex ones and i've cleaned the lens and CD's before i
put them in.

Any help would be appreciated and would result in me sending good vibes your
way.
