blank cds cannot be read by my computer

I think my problem may just be that my computer doesn't like my blank cds but it is frustrating because I've already tried three different brands(TDK, Verbatim and Memorex)
I followed the procedures to make sure my CD-RW is enabled correctly, and my recording tab displays, and the enable box is checked. I have been able to burn cds before, it still can read audio and data. The problem only occurs when i put in a blank cd, the disc just keeps spinning and trying to read until i push the eject button. HELP!
