Help - How to compact Windows Vista Mail folders ?

User66

To save disk space, I used to compact the 'Outlook Express 6' files (in Windows XP),
by opening Outlook Express and clicking - 'File', 'Folder', 'Compact All Folders'.

How do I do this on Windows Vista Home Premium 'Windows Mail'?

Any help will be highly appreciated.

Go to tools>options>advanced>maintenance>set the compact on shutdown count
to 1>apply/OK.

Then go to the File menu>work offline.

Shut down WM>except the prompt to compact, now touch nothing, even for a few
minutes after the compact indicates that it has completed.

Next time you open WM reset the compact count to 100.

Compared to XP, Vista seems somewhat ..... to operate.
I am sure, I will have bundle of questions as I use Vista.
Thank you so much for the help.
