help help help dns error

i have windows xp and a dial up connection. when i connect to the internet it
connects but web pages will not load it says dns error or cant find server. i
then have to go into internet options and connections. when i go there
everything is changed. i have to switch it to always dial my default
connection from never dial a connection. i then have to switch it to
automatically detect settings and uncheck the use a proxy server for this
connection. i have to do this everytime i wanna get on the internet. can
anyone help please thank yu
