NEWBIE........please advise me im having problems running my outlook account

pop3 isn't sufficiently specifying the machine that is handling your inbox,
and smtp isn't sufficient for the outbox. You need more than that. For
example, if your ISP is XYZ.COM, then more than likely you need to specfiy
pop3.xyz.com and smtp.xyz.com. Some services will use mail.xyz.com
for both.

Since you are in the Access forum, I assume that you are trying to get
Access to do the mail. Get into Outlook directly and get it to work first -
TOOLS / MAIL ACCOUNTS / etc. There's a test button there. Once it passes
the test button, copy your settings.
