HELP: Epson BJC-3000 problem

Hi.

I have an EPSON BJC-3000 printer which has been unused for a few
months. I hooked it up to the computer (running WinXP) the other day
and it doesn't print. Ink tanks are OK, no problem with paper as far as
I can tell, computer drivers OK. No visible problems.

But as I've lost the manual (years ago), I can't interpret the error
message the printer is bliking at me, it goes:

6 short flashes of orange light, one longer flash of green, repeat...

Anyone able to let me know what that message means?

Please reply to the group not to the dummy e-mail address.

Thanks,

Ric.

Ooops. I said EPSON. I should have said CANON.

Easy mistake to make.

And Canon.co.uk will happily SELL me a new manual.(

Weird.

canon.co.uk want to SELL me the manual.

canon.com (selecting the 'I am in the USA' option) lets me download the
manual for free.

So it appears my printer thinks that the cartridge is not present. But
it is. Odd.

IN THE USA YOU CAN DOWNLOAD A NEW MANUAL. DA BRITS TRY TO MAKE MONEY ON
EVERYTHING. MAYBE IT IS THE ANAL NATURE. THAT IS WHY THE BRIGHTEST
LEFT FOR THE NEW WORLD IN THE 1600.
