Help! Database growing out of control!

Hi Lee,

I agree with Tim, I have upgraded a company running Access
on Small Business Server 2000 that has SQL Server as a
component. I would seriuosly consider spending your time
upgrading, we have had performance enhancements of upto 25
times faster on some queries.

Thanks for your comments Martin.
I work for quite a large educational organisation and
this particular database is a 'stop gap' until further
proper development is complete in this particular area.
We've recently merged with another organisation and have
large and complex mainframe systems but since they're not
entirely compatible in a number of areas we're resorting
to these sorts of solution for the less business-critical
tasks - I'm a Manager in a non-IT dept but it's all hands
to the pump at present. It's this or quill and ink I'm
afraid!!

Kind regards,

Lee

It's this or quill and ink I'm afraid!!

<sigh> Well, it could be worse. Storing cuneiform tablets is a major
pain, and as for recovering backups...!

Good luck.
