Help Automatic update

Automatic update has 6 critical updates. When I did express install, after
re-booting, my system would hang when I tried to copy or move files. After a
process of elimination I have found which update is causing the problem -
Security Update for Windows XP (KB908531). Trouble is it is still trying to
get me to down load this update. How do I stop it from trying to get me to
down loading this one update?
Has anyone else come accross this same problem and does anyone know if
Microsoft are fixing?

The problem is pretty widespread among users with HP devices attached to
their systems. MS is aware of the problem and is working on it.

Turn off Auto Update, and learn to patch your OS by means of Common

I have two computers both with KB908531 on them and all 3 printers are
HP I have encountered no problems. So it must not be all HP products
but, some specific ones.
