Hellp Please !!! I need help getting Remote Desktop to end session, it locks the server side up....T

I have 2 new XP Pro systems. I access the Host via Remote Desktop,
this causes the Hosts systems screen to go blank/black. When I end the
session and go back to the Host PC the screen it is still blank and I
have to power down the system via the power switch. On 2 other
properly working XP Pro systems I have, when I use Remote Desktop to
access one of them, the Host's screen changes to a login prompt and
say's that the system is locked. After I disconnect I can go back to
the Host PC and log back in, and my screen will appear right where I
left it at the end of my Remote session, with all my programs running.
On the problem ones, I found that if I first LOG OUT of the Host PC
then do a remote connection, the Hosts screen will show the system as
Logged in. If I disconnect the remote session then go back to the Host
it will still show it as already logged in and will lock up after I
give it the password to let me back in. However if I log out of the
remote session, an option I do not get in the 2 systems that work
normally, (only disconnect) then the host system shows it as logged
out also and I can get in. I would use this solution, but I have to
shutdown all my running programs in order logout before I switch from
one PC to the next and I have to start all my work over each time I
switch. I should not have to do that, and on all my other systems I do
not have to do that.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have looked all over the MS
Knowledge Base for an answer but I have not found one.

Thanks in advance,

I had this happen too, I put a check mark on Remote
Assistance and I think that fixed it for me.

Still having the lockout/release problem. Any other suggestion would
be helpful. I have not been able to find this problem listed in
Microsoft's Knowledge Base. If there are any MS reps out there, please
pass on the need for a solution to this problem to the knowledge base
people at MS.

If any one else has a suggestion.....Thanks TIA !!!

Thanks for the help Tom.
