Dear Gabriella,

Thank you so much for that nice message and also for the appreciation of the website. To tell you the truth the kids have now grown up, my son is 14 going on 21 and my daughter is 11 going on 18. I always could sense they were all the time growing up but one day it suddenly dawned on me that I am actually growing old! :D:D:D

Take care and see you around. :)

Dear Quadophile

Know the feeling very well.... I have 2 x 15 year olds (going on 20 something) and a 10 year old going on 18 I think. Time goes so fast and you think people are joking when they say that don't you...it's actually very true..

Take care

Well well, there's a thing.

I also have two 15 year olds (twin girls) and another daughter aged 17.

Oddly enough it's the two young 'uns who act older, eldest daughter-san is kinda quiet. But confident, I think ;)

And yes, the childhood years fly by so fast, nobody told me to pause and enjoy each moment, each holiday, each outing. And then it's sort of over.

Good fun though :D

Dear Floppy

There's some real pearls in your thoughts...I wish someone had hamered thouse gems in my head...my eldest are thinking about what they are doing post Year 11 (this September onwards) as we don't have 6th form at our school - suddenly they aren't so little any more and when you look back at their baby/toddler pictures it's hard to remember they were ever that lttle.

Oh well, I suppose there will be the grandbairns at some time.....

Chris, as far as I know, 6th forms at secondary schools stopped quite some time ago. Once you finish your last year of 'normal' school you go on to 6th form college. In some areas the 6th form college is an annexe or a seperate part of the same school, in others a seperate site.

And then on to University. Or more College. Or work.

As I mentioned elsewhere, I don't follow football, but I is still poxed off for England being out of it. There's a little patriotism deep down in me somewhere.

A shame.

And another thing, I wuz only kidding about not knowing whwre Hampshire was. Alton eh? I mentioned a pipeline I worked on some years ago for Esso. It started in Alton and ended up in Dartford. So yeah, I know dat place :D

Hi

I havent't heard great things about esso lately - they vetod some environmental act everyone was trying to pass or something like that.

Once you finish your last year of 'normal' school you go on to 6th form college
I'm glad to get out of my school the teachers really "pox" me off - this morning a teacher bollocked me for using my phone in school just before a revision session - i wasnt even on the phone - i was playing deep abyss. he said 'i know you dont go to this school any more but i dont want you to use it bla bla bla im a tight ass scientist...'

Natrually i told him what i thought about what he said. He walked off... i was not rude for those of you thinking that...

As I mentioned elsewhere, I don't follow football

I don't really follow football either very much - i have no interest in team matches like Man U v Liverpool or what not. I do, however, love the England matches where there is a hell of a lot of patriotism involved. So very, very gripping.

CP:

You're right about Esso. I was actually working for a firm based in Maidsone and didn't realise it was an Esso pipeline until we started, the job lasted six months. Lots of Texans involved, as I remember.

Still, it paid well :)

fair play floppy - if it pays well, take it! its not the worker people that have anything to do with the environmental thingy, i guess it would be Esso Officials interested in the ££$$££$$ and not the future of mother earth!!

Maidstone? i know that place - all my relatives live in the Medway area (Chatham and Rochester etc). Parents from there too...moved 80 miles to here before i was born, thank god!

I want to be Sunflower Queen (not Yorkshire Rose) cos I love them so much - everyone who knows me knows my passion for them - they can be found all over the house in various forms and my office is like a sunflower paradise! I collect everything and anything (but not chaep and tacky) to do with sunflowers.

Whoever has named me Yorks Rose, please will you change to the above - I've had a shifty round and can't work out how to change......

Dear Chris

Round these parts it is the minority of secondary schools that don't have a 6th form - there are 2 I think in Doncaster without any my 2 Year 10s are in one of them. We are hoping for Specialist School Status so we may get one sometime but not for a few years.

Good luck with the GCSEs - you must have about finished them now?

What will you do with all your spare time?

Mucks had suggested "Yorkshire Rose" and Ian must have updated it. I am sure nobody would mind if you would like to be called "Sunflower Queen"! :)

It will be changed soon!

Hey...

just had my L A S T exam today - would be a 2 hour statistics exam.

Our school got a specialist status - in science and to be honet i really dont know how. I had no science teacher in year 9 due to a national shortage...and that was top set ! bottom got one...

THEN when some came along - they give top set the deluded 60 year old that wears bright red fishnets and a mini skirt. I wasnt joking about her being like 60 either... She smokes cigars and claims she has been teaching longer than i have been alive. She cant teach for jack. Used to be an awesome scientist but now i think i failed my exam.

In my spare time i will get as much work done at the Golf club as i can (hate the sport btw - i work in the restraunt) and also see about getting a job in Tescos. Bored of being a waiter now - living in constant fear of spilling soup on a millionaires armani suit. Plenty of them there to choos from.

Other than that, the usual. Flying on Flight simulator and being a lazy git so no change there. May do a 20 mile hike to Alton and back with my mate in a vein attempt to get fit :)

eBay auction ended for my computer - not 1 bid :(
