It's rare, but certainly not impossible, for an update from Microsoft to
cause a problem. They can't anticipate every possible configuration.

However, when updates cause problems it's usually due to one (or both) of
two reasons:

1. The user did not disable their antivirus software while installing (and
any other protective software that interferes with scripts).

2. The user has made changes to their system that are not supported by
Microsoft.
