Hard disk swaping question

I have two identical computers coming from the same maker(HP), same
model number, same configuration(one hard disk) but obviously not the
same serial number or network mac address. They are installed with
Windows XP SP2 with the corporate licence and are part of the same
domain.
I would like to swap the hard disks between the 2 computers. Is this
possible? I heard of sysprep but do not understand what I need to do
exactly. Any pointers will be appreciated.

Best case - it will just work.
Worst case - you'll have to do a repair installation.
