Hard disk killer

Hi,

1. Connect an empty hard drive to a pc

2. Start the PC.

3. No operating system so it just gets to the black page with status of
master / secondary IDE and the page stops.

4. Push power button on front panel and "power down"

I know that if I pull the plug of power cable then I will definitely
kill the hard disk. But now I have no operating system so I have to
push the power button on the front panel to switch off the pc.

Question: Will I kill the hard disk?

No. And it should go beyond the bios checking onboard drives. You should
see an error message from the bios.
