Hang when "Saving Your Settings"

Hi -

Lately my Win2k Pro installation has been hanging when I shutdown my
computer. It reaches the "Saving Your Settings" part of the shutdown and
then it pauses for about a minute. I can remember finding an article online
about this and it said to remove a certain security update, but I didn't
document it and the problem has crept up again. Any ideas?

This looks like a problem I had recently. It may be the same. Mine was due
to user profile hive handles not being released. Look in the application
event log for error Event ID 1000 from Userenv :-

'Windows cannot unload your registry class file. If you have a roaming
profile, your settings are not replicated. Contact your administrator.

DETAIL Access is denied. , Build number ((2195)).

If that's there, it's the same problem.
