Halo and 3.10 Problems

Hi,

Halo worked great when I had 3.9.
After installing 3.10, I didn't play Halo for some time. I haven't
installed any other programs. Now when I try to run it, it gives me
this error message.
A screen comes up which says Halo on it and inside that, there is a
box which has the title "Halo - Fatal Error".

Inside the box, it says "A Problem occured initializing Direct3D.
Hardware acceleration maybe disabled, please run DXDIAG"

Below that it gives the "Machine Info: 1600Mhz, 512MB, 128M ATI Radeon
9600 PRO (0x4150)"
Below that it says "Click here for more information".

It has 3 buttons. First says "Continue Anyway", second says "Continue
in 'Safe Mode'". Both of these are disabled.
The third says Exit. Thats what I can do.

Any ideas?
I really don't want to go back to 3.9 cos Call of Duty runs great on
3.10. Everything else works too.

That sounds like the refresh rate initialization problem that is fixed
in the latest halo patch.
Nothing to do with the drivers.

Are you sure?
It was ok before I installed 3.10...
In fact, I played quite a lot of it too...
I'll try and install the patch and see

Thanks for the reply.
