Halo 2 - help to reinstall PLEASE

Hi guys, ok well I am going nuts here.. I been browsing the net for ages,
going crazy on the microsoft site and got nowhere...

I cant even get my product ID since halo 2 keeps crashing before I even get
far enough to check it.

Ok, my problem is, a while ago I had halo 2 on vista 64 bit home prem, I
removed it, earlier today I tried to play it again, when I inserted the disk
- it did not ask for installation and started to run and , it gets to the
sign on screen and either jams there or waits a bit then pops up with "halo 2
is not responding"

So I wanted to try install the game, I tried to install it and it said the
game is already on my PC, I went to programs and features, tried to uninstall
it but got a pop up saying "this program requries windows vista or windows
2003" ... I AM ON VISTA !

So , now I cant play the game because it keeps crashing, I cant uninstall
and reinstall because it thinks im not on vista...

I did a system search for 'halo 2' nothing was found, but the icon is still
under programs and features.

Also to note, I have xp installed on half my HD, but halo was only ever
installed on vista..

Can anyone help me uninstall halo 2 so I may reinstall it please?

Perhaps a cmd line which starts up the uninstall or something?
