"Guest" logon can't access internet!!! Help!

I am running under Windows 2000 and use both the
Administrator and Guest logon names. Under administrator,
I have no problem accessing the internet through AOL and
Internet Explorer. However, when I sign on under guest
under AOL it says that the attempts to sign on have failed
and that to make sure I was connected to the modem, cable,
etc. On IE it says the page cannot be displayed. Well, the
same settings apply to guest that are set for
administrator in regard to cable modem access. There has
to be a permission somewhere that I'm missing and haven't
enabled the guest to have full administrative control. If
anyone can help with this issue, it would be VERY
appreciated! Thank you

Hey Vixen,

The Guest account has very limited rights. I don't know AOL, but I would
guess that it is configured to be used in conjunction with a specific
account under which it's designed to run. Also, some programs like to make
configuration changes and, when run in the context of the Guest account,
can't complete that task.

If you want to use another account without Administrator rights, I would
simply create a new User account and test with the default rights. Also,
if you're part of a larger domain environment, it may have other
restrictions as well. But if it is just a stand-alone box, this is what I
would do.
