Guest Book

This Page seems corrupt easy. I allow my visitors sing a guest book. It
was a simple page to add to my site once I realized that I should ensure my
guestlog.htm does not overwrite the server every time I publish.

This is my problme:
An entry was made was (not something I wanted to display). I thought I
could simlply open the guest.htm in notepad mode (a given option) and modify
it. I did this, saved it and viewed it. Everything was fine. However,
when sending it back to the server, all entries are gone. It is like
starting over.

Can anyone give advise as to How to fix this and the proper way to modify a
guest entry?

I resolved this by copying a backup to the server.

Modify / edit the remote copy on the server, and always have the local copy
marked as Do not publish.
