group policy not applied with roaming profiles

I linked a group policy to an OU in active directory. And the policies get
applied just fine. But, when I designate roaming profiles on the user
accounts, the group policies are ignored. Anybody knows why that is?

That is definitely weird. Group Policy should apply Roaming or Local
profiles shouldn’t matter. Have you checked your event logs? Are
there any errors? Do you have dns setup correctly for the clients

I checked the list on your link, and I comply with all the steps. Also, I am
running another domain tree with Win2000 clients and it works just fine. But
on the domain tree where I use WinXP it does not work. I put in the roaming
profile, and it does not work. I remove it and it works.
