Well, I agree with the cluttered part. Keep it 'clean' freeware if possible
at all,
I'd say (those conditions I mentioned are AND conditions) But for the rare
adware only utilities you might make an exception, IMHO.

My personal choice is not to. Adware and spyware are NOT freeware.
This group is supposed to be for the discussion of freeware only.

That's totally dependent on who is doing the discussing and who's
interpretations you use. In here, the same rules don't apply to everyone.

Sorry to say this, Ceg, but you are dead wrong. This newsgroup is named
alt.comp.freeware. This is NOT alt.comp spyware, adware, warez,
crackware, trialware, etc.; therefore, if the discussion is not about
FREEWARE, then it is off topic.

Unless it has to do with programs to rip copyrighted resources out of
programs...example being programs to strip photos out of screensavers. Or
perhaps certain programs masked with "last freeware version" when a newer
version has turned shareware and the current license invalidates previoius
license. They're no longer "freeware". If a freeware license is no longer
valid and no longer "legally attainable" then to me it would be off topic
for a freeware group.

This brand of inexpert pious Barrack-room netkoppery makes me puke!

Luckily my IBM Model M shrugs off minor things like vomit. :)

First, You can not invalidate a license of the program "A" version 1
when you create program "A" version 2. You can't retroactively
invalidate a license.

If program "A" version 1 was distributed as Freeware, you cannot
prohibited that version from being distributed as freeware. Is as simple
as that.

Second, Stop top posting.
