GPO - Lock down programs in Systray

M

Mike Moore

Hi,

I'm looking for a way to lock-down or hide programs in the system tray
via gpo. I am working for a high school and the student pc's are
running eTrust Antivirus. I don't want the students to be able to turn
it off. Thanks for any suggestions!!

Mike,

If I am not mistaken e-Trust has a feature that will allow you to lockout
changes on the local machines. Check with CA to be sure.
Also it might be useful if the student were restricted from getting to task
manager. Here is the location of that policy.

User Configuration, Administrative Templates, System, Logon/Logoff/Disable
Task Manager (Enabled/Disabled)

Hope this helps.
