GoToMyPC Causes Remote Printer Problems?

I am using Windows XP to remote control another Windows XP
computer. Previously I was able to print to my locally
attached printer when working remotely with GoToMyPC. I
have an HP OfficeJet G85 connect locally, not networked.
When I connect to the remote computer, no printers are
added, and when I try to manually add the printer
(Q???????) the TS001 Port is inactive? I have removed
GoToMyPC. Does XP only support Network Printer
Redirection, not locally attached printers?

I had the same problem - although with an Office jet v40.
The following link was useful and the registry patch
mentioned worked for me:

NB: Even after this the printer will not work remotly
unless the drivers are installed on the remote machine as
well.
